ORLANDO, Fla. – The Florida College of
Emergency Physicians (FCEP) received a visit from
Florida gubernatorial candidate Alex Sink at the
staff office in Orlando on Nov. 11. Sink, who is currently
the state's chief financial officer, met with FCEP
leadership and discussed the future of Florida's healthcare
system and the state's economy.
FCEP leaders will meet with candidate
Bill McCollum as well, as they continue to bring the
concerns of FCEP's members to those in position to help our
patients receive the best access to quality emergency care.
The Florida College of Emergency Physicians (FCEP)
represents more than 1,200 emergency physicians in the state
of Florida. FCEP members represent the health care safety
net of Florida’s residents and visitors. More than seven
million patients seek care annually in Florida emergency
departments. FCEP was founded on Oct. 15, 1971 and is
headquartered in Orlando.
