Overview

The Emergency Medicine Learning & Resource Center (EMLRC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and advancing emergency medicine, disaster management, prehospital emergency care, and public health by providing annual continuing medical education conferences and research activities. The EMLRC provides lifesaving education for lifesavers.


Established

In 1990 by the Florida College of Emergency Physicians.


The Emergency Medicine Learning & Resource Center provides education to over 2,000 of the nation’s emergency care providers each year. In 1995, EMLRC was awarded accreditation by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) as a sponsor of Continuing Medical Education for Physicians and Nurses.

EMLRC Annual CME Activities

The Emergency Medicine Learning & Resource Center provides industry leading annual conferences and competitions that provide Continuing Medical Education Credits for attendees. EMLRC's annual conferences and competition include:

  Bill Shearer International
   ALS/BLS Competition

Paramedics and EMTs compete at the Bill Shearer International ALS/BLS
Competition. Teams from around the country and the world compete in this
exciting and educational Advanced and Basic Life Support Competition.

  ClinCon

ClinCon focuses on the integration of prehospital care research and cutting
edge clinical practices to meet the needs of all emergency care providers.

  Symposium by the Sea
August / Varies - Coastal Location in Florida
Symposium by the Sea is an educational opportunity for the busy emergency
physician, resident, nurse, PA and allied health professional who demands
cutting edge information regarding their ever-changing practice environment.
