The Florida College of Emergency Physicians extends its sincerest thanks to those members who participated in a very successful Emergency Medicine Days 2007. This year, FCEP members spent more time face-to-face with their legislators than ever before! FCEP members gathered with their colleagues, lobbied for a better emergency medicine climate in Florida and earned CME credit in our educational programs.

EM Days General Sessions


Educational Sessions. This is the core education of EM Days. Learn about the legislative activities of the College and how they affect you. This is an interactive forum to help prepare you for communicating with your legislators and the media.

6 pm - 7:30 pm
Legislative Reception


This special event provides an open forum to meet and greet with many legislators in a cocktail reception setting. Menu will feature an assortment of Hors D'oeuvres. This is your time to rub elbows with the decision makers. This event will take place at the Paradigm Lounge, 115 W. College Ave., Tallahassee, FL 32301.

Wednesday, March 14

Town Hall Meeting


FCEP will be hosting a Town Hall Meeting at the Capitol in the Cabinet Room, designed to provide an informative summary of two critical emergency medicine issues to the public, the media and the legislature. The Town Hall Meeting will feature a panel of impressive speakers with diverse knowledge of the emergency care system. This is a very important event and we ask that every EM Days attendee participate.

Legislative Meetings at the Capitol


This is a chance for Emergency Physicians to meet with legislators and their aides in a one-on-one setting to discuss the issues of key importance to Emergency Medicine.
